Primary Care Paramedic Practitioner - Home Visit RRV

 Salary: £25.00-£35.00 per hour

Location Medical Services are recruiting experienced paramedics with excellent clinical skills and “real world” experience (Post- NQP - or with previous EMT level experience) to be part of an expanding team delivering an innovative and exciting community response home visiting paramedic services on behalf of GP networks in the West London / Surrey area.

Candidates should have extensive operational experience as a paramedic, with full HCPC registration and be strongly motivated towards refocusing and enhancing skills and experience in a primary care setting.

We can offer full training and mentorship and will support further education towards Level 7 modules in advanced practice. We can also combine mobile work with shifts in acute hubs / walk in centres to provide supervised extended practice experience - or just to provide some variety for those who want it!

The role involves working closely with GP practices, prioritising and responding to visit requests. Visits are primarily in patients’ homes, with treatment plans, referrals or admissions as agreed with the duty GPs as appropriate. Most work is same day - and urgent or emergency patients are prioritised and responded to appropriately, with ALS equipment and skills utilised as required.

You will be part of the larger LMS "family" of likeminded clinicians dedicated to providing industry leading healthcare to Film, TV and large event events and you will, of course, have the chance to opt into a huge variety of event and film & TV medical shifts to make up hours, just for variety or to see events, concerts or football matches that you might otherwise pay for!

This role is to join a team of 12 clinicians operating daily providing a responsive primary care home visiting service in behalf of GP networks across North West Surrey (Working to Ashford).

We operated from our base in Shepperton Studios or from a practice Hub. Shifts are 0830-1800 or 0930-1900 Base to Base Monday to Friday.

The role in autonomous and relies on traditional paramedic specialties of "thinking on your feet" and dealing with sick patients in their homes, taking thorough histories, observations and discussing these with GPs for prescription, referral or treatment decisions to be made. Fully equipped marked cars are provided.
